Film-forming Agents
Film formers are a kind of functional raw materials commonly used in cosmetics. They have the characteristics of forming a thin film and forming a protective layer on the surface of the skin, making the cosmetics long-lasting and not easy to fall off. They also have functions such as waterproof, sweat-proof and oil-proof. Film formers are usually polymer substances, such as polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), polypropylene alcohol (PVA), hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPMC), etc. They can be compatible with other cosmetic raw materials to form a uniform film layer, improving the texture and durability of cosmetics. In cosmetics, film formers are often used in products such as lipstick, mascara, eyeliner, sunscreen, etc., which can fix the color and texture and prevent the cosmetics from smudging and falling off. In addition, film formers can also improve the spreadability and fit of cosmetics, making them easier to apply evenly.
