· W/Si/W emulsions were created using a one-step emulsification process. The water phase, containing magnesium sulfate anhydrous, Xanthan gum, and water, was combined with the oil phase consisting of Polydimethylsiloxane polymer, PEG/PPG-18/18 dimethicone in cyclopentasiloxane (DC 5225c), bis-PEG/PPG-20/5PEG/PPG-20/5 dimethicone, and methoxy PEG/PPG-25/4 dimethicone (ABIL Care XL80) at a temperature of 80-85 °C while being mixed with a high shear mixer (10,000 rpm) for 3 minutes. The emulsion was then cooled down with stirring to reach the desired temperature.
· With a lower oil/aqua rate, a significant W/Si/W multiple emulsion structure was formed and stabilized by adding 0.005 mol/L magnesium sulfate to the external aqueous phase and 0.03 g xanthan gum to the internal aqueous phase.
