Sun Protection Formula Based on Aloe Vera Juice

Dubey, Prashant Kumar, et al. European J. Pharm. Med. Res, 2017, 4(2), 399-408.

Aloe vera juice demonstrates significant effectiveness as a treatment for sunburn. The enzyme bradykinase works to reduce inflammation caused by too much sun exposure while also supporting immune function. Barbaloin and aloetic acid demonstrate both antibiotic and antibacterial effects while the derivative isobarbaloin derived from cinnamic acid and salicylic acid acts as a pain reliever. Acemannan stimulates macrophages while boosting fibroblast production and collagen synthesis to speed up skin repair processes.
Preparation procedure of the formula
· In a primary container, disperse Carbomer in Aloe barbadensis Leaf Juice. Once uniform, incorporate the other water phase ingredients and heat the mixture to 85°C.
· In a separate container, combine the oil phase ingredients and heat with stirring until they also reach 85°C.
· When both phases are at 85°C and uniform, gradually mix the oil phase into the water phase while stirring vigorously. After achieving a uniform mixture (ensuring at least 15 minutes have passed since the last addition of the oil phase), begin cooling with moderate agitation.
· Once the mixture reaches the desired filling temperature, cease cooling and mixing, and conduct quality assurance checks.

Shampoo Formula Based on Aloe Vera Juice

Dubey, Prashant Kumar, et al. European J. Pharm. Med. Res, 2017, 4(2), 399-408.

Aloe juice holds multiple compounds and possesses a distinct feature that helps stop hair from falling out. The aloe leaf juice maintains a pH level of 6 which acts as a weak acid similar to the skin's pH allowing for improved nutrient absorption through the scalp's outermost skin layer, which strengthens hair follicles and encourages growth while revitalizing them with its nutrients. The active ingredients within aloe juice have antifungal properties that make it effective for treating seborrheic eczema.
Preparation procedure of the formula
· Aloe barbadensis leaf juice with tetrasodium EDTA and styrene/acrylates copolymer constitutes the base of the A. vera shampoo formulation which also contains TEA-lauryl sulfate and colorants, cocamidopropyl betaine with hydrolyzed wheat protein, cocamide diethanolamine and dimethicone combined with laureth-8 and succinoglycan alongside quaternium-15 and fragrance and citric acid and sodium chloride.
· Start the preparation process by heating the aloe leaf juice until it reaches 40°C before introducing tetrasodium EDTA. Ensure uniform consistency in the mixture before slowly adding styrene/acrylates copolymer while maintaining smooth mixing. After achieving even distribution, proceed by adding the remaining ingredients following their specified sequence. Use citric acid to achieve a pH level of 5 and adjust the product's viscosity by adding sodium chloride if necessary.
